Location. The Hotel Alga is located in the resort of Calella de Pallafrugell in the Costa Brava, Spain. The town square is 200 metres away, and there is a sandy beach within 500 metres.
Hotel Features. A whitewashed resort style property with views of the sea, the Hotel Alga has a landscaped swimming pool area with palm trees and flowering shrubs. There is also a terrace bar, and a television room.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant. The half board rate includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. The restaurant specialises in seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, and menus for children and vegetarians are available.
There are several function rooms with space for up to 300 people on site, and events can be catered on request.
The hotel's swimming pool complex is set in 3,000 acres of gardens, and offers two pools, one especially for children. Other on site facilities include tennis courts, a games room, and a children's play area.
Guestrooms. The 53 guestrooms have balconies with views of the pool or sea. Amenities include televisions, hair dryers, and extra towels.
Expert Tip. The Costa Brava is famous for its association with surrealist artist Salvador Dali. Many of his artworks are housed at the famous museum in Figueres, 60 kilometres away. The hotel offers a half board rate.
