Located 18 miles north of Kona International Airport, this gated community lies 25 miles from the town of Kona on the celebrated Kohala Coast. This area holds historic significance as a favored destination of royal Hawaiian chieftains, and lies seven miles from Pu'ukohoa Heiau National Historic Site. Guests may also explore the tropical splendor of Hapuna Beach State Park, located six miles from this property.
Hotel Features. All amenities associated with Waikoloa Beach Resort are extended to Vista Waikoloa guests. Activities include cultural events, educational programs, guided tours, ocean sports, boat cruises, helicopter tours and evenings of entertainment and fine dining. On site, The Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., is an 18 hole course that affords spectacular ocean views. The 18 hole King's Golf Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, features outstanding mountain views. Guests also have access to hotel services such as Dolphin Quest, the Kohala Spa, and tennis facilities at nearby Marriott and Hilton hotels. Specifically, the Vista's recreation pavilion has an outdoor pool expansive enough to appeal to lap swimmers, two whirlpools and changing rooms.
Guestrooms. Vista Waikoloa features spacious two bedroom or three bedroom penthouse condominiums. These air conditioned, accommodations provide either partial ocean, fairway or garden views. Condo amenities include complete kitchens, entertainment centers, private lanais, and washers and dryers.
Expert Tip. The Waikoloa Beach Resort hosts annual festivals and sporting events such as celebrity golf tournaments and professional tennis tournaments.
